Why I still read Slashdot

The Davy Crockett was an artillery rifle that lobbed cute little nuclear bombs up to a couple of miles. (The shells' payloads had TNT equivalents of "only" 10 or 20 tons -- not megatons.) The U.S. Army deployed it from the late 1950s to the early 70s.

I had the same cramps today as yesterday, for the same duration, after waking up at the same time of day. Worrisome. Have e-mailed doctor. I'm curious as to what will happen tomorrow, when I'll be waking up early (unless I oversleep, which is extremely likely, for that is my nature). Guess I'll learn whether it's tied to the time of day, or the act of getting out of bed. I'm hoping for a PMFI, of course, except that I won't let myself just forget about it if I am given one.

Scored a copy of Photoshop 7.0 Friday; ICCB has a site license. I dunno why it didn't occur to me to ask before.

I really have to get cracking on this presentation for next Monday.

Uh oh

Yes, around my right hip, towards the back. Hum.

I thought of appendicitis, since I have an appendix. But it didn't occur to me to look at online anatomy texts until just now, and what I see does seem to support this theory.
