excuse me, while i kiss this guy

How did the lyrics page that thinks the song begins with "Refuted seed" page get higher in the Google rankings than the much more sensible "Reviewed, it seemed" one? And it gets worse after that. Dude, do you seriously think he's singing "de-muted" in the next verse? Are you a cognitive, pattern-seeking human or a first-generation voice-recognition machine? Gadzooks.

Maybe I should start liking music where I can understand what the vocalist is saying. You think? Nah.

I will note here that I still sometimes unlock the lyrics of music I've owned for years, usually when I listen to it over headphones for the first time in a while. As in: Wait, she's singing about a waitress, not a white dress. Wow! Suddenly all the rest of the song makes actual sense!! (All these years I was silently assumed that she sang of the bitchy white dress that brought her a sandwich, figuring it was merely a level symbolism beyond my ken. Probably something to do with marriage somehow. Who knows.)

I junked the jewelcase soon as I got the disc, and so didn't know any of its song titles until I got around to ripping it, years later, and the CDDB blessed it. But even then I usually don't look at my iPod's screen or my iTunes display while playing an album through, so I like to think I actually heard and understood the title word, and didn't just read it. :)
