QC1, Part 2

QC1 is proceeding rather painlessly. I've gone over most of the chapters, and haven't had to make any changes so severe that I can't express them through margin-scribbling on the hard copies. (It's still boring as all get-out, though. The work, I mean. The book will be be fun and exciting and new when you read it, certainly.)

Karl, Derek, and Noah have all volunteered to provide last-minute skimming this weekend. (Indeed, I got Karl's comments a few minutes ago.)

This is a good book. Yeah, I'm pretty happy, or at least no longer freaking out.

After tomorrow, it will be done, really and truly; ORA Production folks'll be working on it between Xmas and New Year's, fast-tracking it to press. I don't know if they'll be able to make that happen in time for MacWorld, but... all my worry curcuits for this project have burned out long ago. I'll be happy with whatever happens.
