Back from a few days in Maine. Taking the rest of the week off from work, but will spend most of it in my own home. I like it here.

I have been eating up the Zeldman book. Originally I was thinking I'd take this week to relax and work on MIGS, but now it looks like I'll re-learn webdesign and work on MIGS and convince myself that that-all's relaxing. Sure! Seriously, though, all I know about webdesign is pure circa-1996, and... I won't say anything more for now, because of the usual jinxy reasons. We'll see what happens.

I can just barely do a six-footer at DDR now. Dur-hee. Still mostly unable to hack diagonal jumps.

On the drive up, I listened to the entirety of the two Kimya Dawson albums I have on iPod, and the lyrics about love, loss and the sound of Ataris rendered me wistful. Dee-dee da. I guess that someday I should try to do something about that. Also, I should set up a dentist appointment, someday. Place your bets.

Shockenawed to see that there's an American Splendor movie. (Didn't discover until this morning that it played locally last night... rats.) Harvey Pekar's comics were a central source of inspiration, back in my wannabe-cartoonist days, but I lost track of them years ago, so a movie version of them suddenly appearing gives me the "wow". Time to make a new Tivo wishlist, I guess.
