Why yes, I am back at work today. And that's why I can tell you that Zag looks to be an excellent Java application for playing Glulx-compliant interactive fiction games. (Which is to say: modern text adventures that use multimedia effects.)
It runs great on Mac OS X, and you can play several recent IF works by folks like Adam Cadre and Emily Short right off the project's homepage if you have Java Web Start installed (which you do, if you're running Mac OS X). Cool!
