Now who's being a Mr. Grumpypants?

Trying to dig myself out of a career crisis. One good way to do this is to start paying attention to my job. The one that keeps feeding me fat paychecks every other week, I mean. Um... I have a lot of catching up to do. Will tune out other stuff for a few days, I think.

Am HHOS about being pissy at certain friends choosing to vacation in NZ during times when it is inconvenient for me. How dare they. (And leaving themselves somehow logged into AIM and set as constantly unidle. The hell.)

Last [weekend + week] was really strange, and while it was fun and I gained many social-tactical experience points, I'm glad it's over. My life is a little bigger for it all now, and I think stably so.

I'm a sixth-level expert. Don't I immediately get 1d6+2 followers, according to the PHB? Why does [livejournal.com profile] aspartaimee get interns and I don't? Just who is the GM here, anyway?

Spammers are attacking both my media log (leaving dozens of porn/gambling links in the comments) and the Volity Wiki (replacing entire pages with porn/gambling links). This is not a motivator.

And you ask why I give a Strongbad-style double-deuce to anyone who suggests I immediately aim Volity at gambling. Gambling is this country's number-one cause of broken homes, wrecked lives, and fucked-up community websites.

The whole media log thing is a failed experiment anyway, since it's long been shown that I have zero ability to hold myself to writing anything, and all my friends apparently take example from this, and so nobody except the spammers have posted in months. I'd just pull the whole dumb thing down, except that it has other peoples' writing on it, and I'd have to archive it for them first, and I'm just too lazy for it.

The part of my brain that has been in bed sick for a while sez: I actually do keep up with it if I'm doing well in other creative endeavors. So you say, so you say.

Lazy: I owe [livejournal.com profile] ts52 a photo album. Sorry, I have been too busy freaking out &c to bother. I will get to it soon, honest. (Anyway, every good con deserves a Very Tardy Internet Photo Album, eh?)

Please don't confuse your intern with your blood-faced volleyball.

"Blood-faced volleyball"

Hey, must be that an adventurer is you! Is your username other than "prog" or "jmac"?

Z

P.S.: 1) I have seen a photo album from you; 2) You're not really "late" until after *ANDY* posts his album (if ever); 3) I just had my film dropped off today, myself. %-}

I have the T-shirt, too.

I have gotten much of Greater Suberica hooked on the game, without really trying too hard. (Actually I think the extent of my efforts was telling aspartaimee about it, who then vectored it onto everyone else; I'm just a carrier.) I started playing after Origins, where Zarf and I think Ryan were both babbling about it. No surprise that you're into it as well. :)

I am zendonut there. My levitating potato's name is prog. No jmacs yet.

(Buh? says the lurker. We're talking about this.)

Also the photo album I refer to is a giant album that ts52 hand-edited, based on many peoples' digital Origins photos, including mine. I haven't even looked at it yet, and am actually looking forward to browsing it myself.

they do look a lot alike! however, my blood face volleyball will not be leaving in a week and a half for norway, whereas my intern will be.

did i mention she brings me peppermint patties? and polar orange dry? the intern, not the volleyball. the volleyball just smiles approvingly.
