The country where I seem to be living now

Not to slight our various Western allies, but seeing my home states set off so starkly from the rest of the US on the red/blue maps made them look like a country all to themselves.

And a country needs a name.

"Red Sox Nation", while tempting, would probably be a bad idea.

I am leaning towards "The People's Republic of Awesome".

Dunno about the name, but the flag came to me as I was walking home from work: the U.S. flag minus its red stripes (leaving a pure white field) and only 20 (?) stars in the blue canton, representing the "blue" states.

A minute or so later, as I was thinking of the whole blue vs. red thing, the purple Drazi vs. green Drazi thing from Babylon 5 came to mind.
