Argh, wunderland.com linked to VHEMT this week. (I'm not linking to them.) They're a "you-can't-be-serious" organization that is ostensibly arguing for the dieoff of humanity through cessation of all breeding. While I'm fairly sure that the literal part of this message is meant to be tongue-in-cheek, it's more true that it is actually a collection of angry "childfree" people who are moving beyond defending their lifestyle (which I support) to evangelism.
I despise all kinds of evangelism, unless done with subtlety. They are not subtle. Their most polished arguments are a collection of Nina Paley cartoons arguing that anyone who chooses to have children is an idiot, a racist, or a rapist. I'd like to tell them that they're not going to win any real converts with their attitude, but I suspect their ears are all stopped by inches of gluteal flesh.
Andy's a good guy and I hope his relationship with these jerks stops at pull-quoting.

Don't worry
It sounds like the VHEMT folks are an extreme form of misanthropes, which is a group of people who can be quite amusing to hanging around.
Without humor, all is lost.
