Show graphics

Blip wants a big and little picture of certain dimensions for each show, so I made some. I like how they came out. I haven't made a big image for The Gameshelf yet; I think that will require a posed still of me in front of a green screen with some props. Something for later.

Yes, these are LJ icons now, too.

Blip likes wide images. I have a variant of this one that conforms dimensionally to an old arcade game's screen, and I may use it elsewhere. I like it either way.

Hurrah! And that is exactly the sort of thing I had in mind when I was suggesting a custom web page layout, so it looks like you're halfway there already.

Can you do animated gifs? It would be even more awesome if the stars sparkled (colour-cycled).

What they need to do is individually wink on and off while scrolling downwards, just like in Galaxian (which I ripped this off from). I don't know what level of chicanery blip allows, but a nice still was my first aim; I can use it as the included image of the RSS feed, too.

re what they need to do: you are, of course, completely correct.

Cool animation. What program did you use to make that?

Photoshop/ImageReady. ImageReady is horrible for animation but at least I'm familiar with it.

In case you're wondering, I made a layer with randomly coloured pixels as the background, then a black layer with transparent holes in it for the "stars" so that they'd flicker as they move. Logo on the top layer.

Oh, and here is an LJ-sized version:

that is awesome!

Excellent. Though what I literally had in mind wasn't color-cycling but each star winking on and off according to its own timer as it fell, exactly like Galaxian (and a bunch of other from-that-era) games did. But really, that's pretty awesome. :)

I did wonder... but then I decided that I LIKE colour-cycling and I'm sure there were a few games I played that did that instead. So that's what you get. ;)

I could probably blink the stars on and off instead using the same sort of trick. Let me know if you want to be picky. :)
