I am currently addicted to my job. I spent the morning figuring out an obscure and underdocumented file format for describing molecular structures that I was introduced to yesterday. Now I want to spend the rest of the day seeing how quickly I can write a visual molecule rendering program in Perl.

Bits of high-school chemistry are starting to filter back. For example, the diagrams I skimmed made more since once I remembered that the 'C's of carbon atoms are often omitted from diagrams because they're so common. Exciting

I resent the fact that I have other responsibilities and can't fling myself into this.
