Word on the street is: system-wide activation and upgrading failures, at least as bad as last year's.

I don't need to wait in line for hours with strangers in order to buy a toy that won't work for at least a day (during which I will have no phone). Forget it! I'll get one when things simmer down.

yes, I am waiting until next week at least to see what the situation is like. I'm also not so interested in signing a contract with the DeathStar, and am mor e interested in full price unlocked phones and Tmobile service.

For what it's worth, activation worked first try for me at 7 pm Friday. I haven't had any trouble since -- downloaded a couple of free apps, ran them, it's happy.
