M has commandeered the table, making it her desk. In exchange, she helped me reclaim my own desk, which has been serving as a support surface for one of N's little-used Sun desktops for months. Said Sun is now on the edge of the desk facing the corner, where it complements an already existing server nook containing all of the house's switches and routers, as well as our MP3 server and printer.

So basically, N kind of got the short end of the whole new-table deal. Oh well. He pretended to get all mad about it, and then went for a bike ride.

The kitchen table is still good for gaming. Too bad that it's right on the edge of our WAP's sphere of influence. Why did we install that at an extreme end of the house, instead of in the center? How silly. Well, something to do later.
