Instead of writing I am flipping randomly through an X-Men book that Charles brought home... like the two or three others on the shelves here already, it's an alternative-universe playground for a writer who gets to do whatever they want with the characters, and again just like the other books, mostly what they want is scads of shocking and horrible death for these well-known characters and everyone around them. I feel creepy reading it, like I'm supposed to be enjoying it for its snuff value or something. "Oo, how are they all gonna die this time?" Foo.

Also, it's bizarre how they show brains splashing out of skulls in slow motion but all swear words are rendered as "@#^*!".
