I did not know that the HMS library contains exhibits from The Warren Anatomical Museum (the majority of which is in storage). It includes Phineas Gage's skull!
Houghton recently put out a children's book about him called Phineas Gage: A Gruesome But True Story About Brain Science (by John Fleischman). I haven't read it but it was named an ALA Notable. (http://www.hbook.com/alanotables2003.shtml) What a weird story.
