The latter half of this article about coalition soldiers' (and one BBC reporter's) explorations of an abandoned presidential palace reads like a bit too much text adventure game, to me. I think I was tipped off by the strange choice of words about soldiers adding items to their inventory, but the one-sentence paragraph about the pavillion was just way too on-style. I had to stop myself from typing X BARBECUE into my browser window.

Heh. Maybe the author of the article writes for MUDs on the side?

You see nothing special about the barbecue.

You are likely to be eaten by a coalition soldier?

Lord Dimwit Hussein's image is emblazoned on the wall. There is a gold plated pool here.

There is a WMD in the pool.

> Get WMD

There's no WMD here.

> Get weapon

There's no weapon here.

> Find WMD

I beg your pardon?

> Koffi, find WMD

Koffi looks at you blankly.

A grue wanders by.

Very good. Now you can advance to second grade.
