I'm told that "someone in Accounting was out of town" so my check wasn't mailed until yesterday. To my former address. Well, at least it's mailed. Still: this, friends, is among the reasons why I have chosen to abandon freelancing as a primary source of income.

I had That Interview today. I'm not leaping with joy about it; I talked to many people and think that I impressed everyone fairly well. I'll know how it turns out by this time next week.

Meanwhile, editor sez that I should aim for a complete first draft by Sept 1. This sounds... difficult. However, I shan't judge its feasability until I draft out a schedule for the book's remainder. I've been feeling very confident and productive with it lately, but just ten weeks for all that's left? Mm. We'll see.
