Got my first comments! Thank you, Zarf. He seemed self-conscious that he didn't have more to say, though it was plenty. The Arcus boys have expressed similar self-doubt, and while the tech reviewers I scored rock, their humility makes me wonder if I should have roped in more of them. Then I remember Chuck's review cadre. He is with them now, out west, at the O'Reilly Mac OS X conference. I fully expect them to come surfing back this weekend on a tsunami of comments. I am taking several days off next week -- maybe even the whole week -- just to deal with them, and also drop in the last few sections that I want to add.

Robin Hobb loves to tease her own characters about their self-deception, and often says things like "By the time she was out the door, she was firmly convinced that she had no other interest in him besides business." So now my internal dialog includes that quite a bit, about myself. Blah.
