Dunkies

Strange.

I have been craving Dunkin' Donuts' coffee a lot lately. Or, rather, Dunkin' Donuts brand caffeinated hot brown liquid, as at least one fellow coffee snob calls it.

But where once I'd be the first to how-could-you-like-that-stuff to my friends while savoring my diesel/someday/jorgy's-to-go, I find myself thinking, time and again, that now'd be a nice time to have a fresh, tall Styrofoam cup of the stuff. I have been favoring a visit to the DD instead of the DC when in DS. Very odd.

I was last seen in this area six years ago, fresh out of college and not yet wise to the ways of really good coffee. (My visiting [livejournal.com profile] rserocki that winter and enjoying the pots of Trader Joe's coffee he likes to make opened up a whole new world to me.) Before that I'd probably average two big Dunkinses a day, from one Bangor franchise or another.

And so I was in Boston, but it was like, really busy...all the cabs were beeping their horns...it was like...beep beep beep beep beep...and then I fell over, and, like, half of my keynote was gone...and I was, like, huh? Boston devoured my keynote. It was a really good keynote. And then I had to write it again, and I had to do it fast, so it wasn't as good. It's kind of...a bummer.

So the next year we did it in New York, and it was so much easier. I'm never going back.

My name's Steve Jobs, and I'm an iCEO.</em?
