Back home. Due to confusion on my part, the train out of BWI left 15 minutes sooner than I thought it would. Fortunately, I was dropped off 16 or 17 minutes prior to the original departure time, so all was well, after a bit of nerve-jangling.

L&S gave me their old DDR pads! I still need to obtain a DDR disc, though.

Today I taught Zendo and ate the slice of wedding cake I missed last year. (It was not preserved for my benefit per se; they froze the top tier, as per tradition (though it's a tradition younger than modern refrigeration, I suppose), for consumption upon their recent first anniversary, and there was lots to spare. (Big cake?)) Also learned new chicken lunchy recipe, and partook thereof.

I am left with many emotional thoughts. Hmmm. Their inflections range from pleasant to bittersweet, and they're all about me me me. I will let these stew for an overnight and see what I can formulate tomorrow over coffee.

Today is a vacation day. I finished the rough draft of the MIGS proof-of-concept server. Also got a most unfortunate letter from the Commonwealth, saying I owe thousands in back taxes. Um. Apparently my A.D. 2000 self, who was, in many respects, a retard, didn't bother filing that year, and now the state (which would really really like as much money as it can possibly get, these days) is out for bloooood. But I think $2,700 is a bit much to ask from a fellow who lived here only two months that year, and had tax money withheld from his paychecks besides. Well, guess I'll make some phone calls tomorrow.
