prog: (smiley)
Written in white paint on a high-up girder in a construction project across from a Brigham and Women's Medical Center entrance:

WHISTLE AND WAVE! WE [heart] NURSES!

...except that the words 'WHISTLE' and 'NURSES' -- and only those words -- had been scribbled over in the same white paint, enough so that it took me a while to puzzle out the original message. Not sure what to read into this modification. I'm sure there's an interesting story in it. I smile.

This week has been kind of crappy, workwise. A week's vacation afforded me some good insight on the way I should attack my fall-deadline project, but starting the actual implementation is disappointingly tough. My mind feels all jangled for some reason; it's very noisy, in my head. Tried different things today, from working in the library (cozy and quiet; should go there more often) to having a healthy soup-n-salad lunch in the HMS caf (should do that more often too), and did indeed fill a few notebook pages with idea-scrawl, but there's no spark to any of it. Sigh. Maybe I need more sleep.

I think I'll just sneak home now, maybe take a nappy nap on the LMA shuttle. Zzz.
