Much is the grumbling on N.G.'s blog about how quickly the new Sandman book became scarce, but on stopping by Million-Year Picnic this evening I discovered lots of copies in stock, and acquired one. The countergurl had grumbles of her own to share, but they were more about the fact that mainstream bookstores got clearance to start selling the title a full two days before comic shops did.

The point is, if you're local to me and want some good comix, go to MYP in Harvard Square and snag a copy of Sandman: Endless Nights, the end.

Amusing: It contains seven roughly comic-book-length chapters, each telling a separate story, and at $25.00 it's not really more expensive than 7 individual issues of the Sandman comic book would be, and in a much nicer format. (A nice hardbound with glossy pages and no ads for video games every other page. Also, lots of new Sandman stories, all at once.)
