(no subject)

Lately people have been inviting me to things and I have been bad about responding, and/or I've been failing to show up for regularly scheduled events (both iRL and otherwise). My apologies; as previously noted, I have not given myself a solid earthbound day in quite a while, leaving me with way too much stuff in my mental cache, and making me very absent-minded.

With luck I'll be better after this weekend, which I am taking off. I will be staying home, and doing stuff like:

• Fixing the jmac.org server (variously wonky after a massive upgrade)
  
• Cleaning apartment
  
• Cleaning email
  
• Paying bills
  
• Seeing about getting poor Car undented
  
• Obtaining cold-weather wear

Happy as always to talk to friends throughout, but unwilling to commit to anything that takes actual time before Monday happens. Righto.

Important IT knowledge

Today I learned that if a user has activated mail forwarding from a work account to a personal account, that means the user is no longer an employee, and all his accounts may be deleted with impunity.

The play people said something apologetic about possibly delayed callbacks which I didn't quite catch, but it's now two nights after the originally scheduled callback night and I hear nuttin. Hmmf. The surprise actually faded a while ago, but it was there. Basic disappointment is lingering a little longer, but it'll drain away shortly as well, no doubt.

Sorry, prog's big ego, looks like you'll have to wait for some other outlet. Gee, where can I find one of those?
