I really like Citadels, and will add it to my favorite-games page next time I up update it. It's a fine mix of luck, strategy and psychology, and you can apply that latter aspect regardless of how well you know the other players (although I'm sure that helps). And I really like how it manages to have a bluffing element that doesn't involve active deception (something I'm not normally good at).

Also I seem to win at it often. Ho ho ho

Whose dark materials are they, anyway?

jadelennox reports that references to God and the Church are to be expunged from the "His Dark Materials" films. She draws some kidlit comparisons; if I may dawdle in the land of mainstream movies, I'd suggest that it's like dropping all mention of Nazis from the Indiana Jones movies, or even like eliding the Hobbits out of that other thing, replacing them with wisecracking farmboys or something.

It's going to be a rough time keeping the story's oiginal essence, after that cut. I can see how it's possible to arrive at the same destination, but this irrevocably changes the path. I wish them the best of luck. Sigh.
