Jan. 8th, 2005 10:14 amI have not posted much since 2005 began. I do have a pile, literally, of half-finished posts in the bottom-left corner of my screen. Some are quite recent, some are months old. This is because of my habit of picking away at a thoughtful post over some length of time in an iJournal window, until it comes to pass that I actually need to say something, so to make room I grab the wandering text and drag it onto my desktop (a little patch of which is visible down in the corner), where it gets saved as a little text-clipping icon. So, I have a bunch of these, and I will now lamely resolve to do something with them, one at a time.

I think that was meant to be part of a post about visiting WorldCon for a day, back in September. I don't think I ever did a proper post about it, which is too bad, cuz it was a great and memorable time, all told.

M, J and I all more black. Actually I threw on a grey overshirt before leaving. There was a time I routinely dressed in all black, on the theory that black always looks good, and goes well with black. And I would do so today, except that strangers get jokey about it. (Not in a mean-spirited way, just a mundanely sigh-stupid way. The person I buy the coffee from says "Oh oh, he's wearing all black!" or the person I hand the ticket to says "You must be the infamous man in black!". Yes, I am Johnny Cash, or perhaps a vampire. You will now stand very still while I sing my rendition of Leonard Nimoy's rendition of "I Walk the Line". Do not run from me; I am your friend.
