Current math: (Two Tsp of beans & two cups of Brita'd water) for every mugful. All the beans are ground for exactly 15 seconds in my regular old electric grinder.

Now I need to buy a portable thermos thingy so I can make a ton of this yummy stuff and take it to work with me, and then maybe not give $5 to Starbucks every damn day.

Iron Chef America micro-review

It's more fun than I'd expect. Alton Brown is a perfect commentator and the main reason I stayed for the whole show, even though he looks weird with his hair forced down to his scalp like that.

They cast the right guy as chairman, but he is apparently directed to act like a Star Trek android, hokey and creepy, adding a note of overproduced bizarrity that doesn't mesh well with the rest of the show. It would probably be improved by dropping his character entirely, but I suppose then the show wouldn't have been Iron Chef-y enough.
