Jun. 12th, 2005 02:52 pmFinally finished Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Play-clock at the end was just over 20 hours. My frustration at the deathtrap-strewn opening levels never returned, and I note in the credits that the "prologue levels" were designed by a separate group. It doesn't specify which levels those are, exactly, but I betcha that it accounts for the big difference in WTFery between the prologue and the main game. Boy, that's dumb design. Oh well.
Pushed through the last levels today because I have a have a number of large projects to undertake. Ha ha.
I feel done with my personal FPS renaissance for the time being. I should make a promise to myself to try focusing only on playing networked games from now on. (Not so much networked FPS games; that's an entire culture which I feel no desire to get into.)
