Whenever I start to think that this whole Volity Games thing is stupid and I should just scrap it because gawrsh Microsoft is doing something vaguely similar except not really but still doooom we have another Monday meeting and I'm infused with another week's worth of optimistic purpose.

Only six weeks left until our self-imposed deadline to have the revenue sharing system operational. And in parallel, we need to construct and launch some sort of marketing strategy too. Whee! I'm gonna start playing with Google Adwords tomorrow.

Interesting discoveries today included a thread on BGG talking in a positive light about our Werewolf game. One poster recalled seeing someone handing out flyers at Origins, ho ho. It devolved into nonsensical discussion about BSW but hey, we take what good karma we can get.

I was also proven wrong about a person who has been playing so much Fluxx that I thought they were a bot. Zarf went up to them and said "Excuse me, are you a bot?" and they said "No, I just like playing Fluxx." On the one hand I was a little disappointed that we weren't fielding our first known "ronin" bot, but on the other hand I can only take this as a compliment. (It's not my game design, but it is my UI...)

The image of Hank poking Molotov's belly and saying "Boop!" has brought me light and joy for the last two weeks or so. I need an icon of that.

Working on the Gameshelf again, even a little bit, has improved my outlook on life already. I am pretty sure that working on more than one major project (not counting pay-the-bills work) improves my self-image from sadly obsessed to alarmingly potent.

If I make more I don't know if I'll be able to stick to a schedule of even one per month. The only thing I'd lose from the lack of a schedule is a regular time slot on SCAT, and if I consider this primarily a podcast, then that isn't a great tragedy.
