Declaration of January intent [another nonsensical post]

Got my email confirming my pre-reg for Arisia 2004. Thanks to fearless Boston Warren leader [livejournal.com profile] cthulhia for arranging this reward for all us goofy bunnies during Arisia 2003. (And otherwise making the entire gaming end of that con what it was, really. It was Good.)

Not wearing the ears this year, alas... can't commit to any demos because I intend to do the MIT Puzzle Hunt for the first time, and sadly this happens on the same weekend. However, I will definitely try to attend some of the Tim Powers-related talks or panels, and may do some on-the-fly Looney stuff, depending.

Oh yeah, thanks for the reminder. I should definitely read some of his books before Arisia.

It seems my friend Arthur Ganson, a local sculptor, is somehow involved in Arisia this year. I recommend seeing his sculptures -- they're the bestest.

Ah, yes! He's the artist guest of honor, and the recently mailed-out info booklets has a photo of one of his pieces on it. (He's actually listed there and on the website as the "sculptor" GOH, and I wonder why they make the distinction vs. the usual "artist". Well, I have some good guesses, but still.) Looking forward to seeing some of that, too... kinetic sculptures are sure to be a hit with this crowd.

He's a friend of yours, Colorwheel?

I love the chair thing at the MIT Museum. I have to stop and watch it every time I walk by it. I like to make little crashing noises. :-)

Yep, he's a friend. I'm so glad you've seen his work. :)
