No sooner did I type that than a guy who looked like Bill from Kill Bill two booths up bailed, exposing a fresh outlet. Yoink! Gimme gimme that sweet sweet electric.

I beat Katamari Damacy last night. Yes, it took me only three play sessions. I still can't recommend it enough to the intersection of [people with PS2s] and [people who like me]. I throw in the latter because I figure that anyone who can stand my company has the sense of humor to fully appreciate this game as well.

I will probably keep playing it for a while, since it's structured to encourage replay; the individual stages are perfectly episodic, with no carry-over of inventory or stats or anything, so you can replay them in any order you please, as often as you like. The game remembers the best score (more precisely, the largest diameter) you achieved in each stage, and naturally there are little treats and unlockables sprinkled around for experinced players to find when revisiting places.

It's just a great game, especially for only $20.

I really wish I had the hands for it.

We already have DDR pads; there is now a clear need for foot-actuated analog-stick controllers.

Just finished the game myself, in about as many sessions.

I really like the Godzilla-like feel of the game once I get the Katamari up to about 3m. HAPPY FUN BALL IS BACK, AND BOY IS HE PISSED!

This is one of the more screwed up game concepts I've seen - but remarkably it works and is loads of fun (especially when you're over 2m and can pick up people). I'm still trying to get all the countries in the ending sequence. 191 is the best I've done so far.

Something to watch for if you lose a round --- look carefully at the king's sillouette during the lightning flashes. Don't hit any buttons... just let it go as the king insults your guy.
