This image intrigues me, mostly due to the inscription on the fire truck. (And I'm assuming it's not a clever fake.)

Can any of my northern cohorts shed some light on this? If it's the Bangor I know, there's not enough context for me to recognize which streetcorner this is...

What really intrigues me is how you came across this photo, posted by a Russian LJ user. Someone whose journal you check infrequently? Friend-of-friends list? Someone pointed it out to you?

One user on that page commented it was (like?) a still from the film "The Day After Tomorrow."

And it's another victim of winter. If I remember correctly, they eventually determined it was caused by the furnace, which had overheated after working full-blast to keep up with the polar temps.
