Assuming you can find every show you want on BitTorrent (or whichever) and want to wait for the download to complete... sure.

I've pretty much given up on BitTorrent now that I have a DVR. The only things I may go back for are shows like "Huff" on Showtime, which I don't get.

Even my mighty TiVo lacks the ability to go back in time and record the first season of a show whose second season just started and, like, the New York Times and all my freinds are going LA LA LA about even though I hadn't even heard of it. There's at least three of these going on just this fall...

That's an excellent point.

I got lucky with "Lost" over the summer because they started re-airing the first season a couple weeks after I decided to check it out.
