The thing I like the most about LEGO Brokeback Mountain are those little LEGO sheep. They appear to be made from a clever repurposing of other LEGO and are adorable.

Today I realized that donut holes should better be called "dough hickeys", since they're like chocolate kisses, except different. (This after [livejournal.com profile] radiotelescope was trying to describe the thing he had for dessert at the Indian restaurant, essentially fruit-juice-soaked donut holes, and mispronounced a word in an enlightening fashion.)

Then again maybe not since it's not like a "kiss" and"hickey" are really synonyms, no matter how much I'd like them to be in order to make this actually funny. Oh well.

Was the dessert gulab jamun?

I think the dough is boiled in some form of honey, then. Possibly flavored with fruit juice, too.

They're fried (as doughnut holes are). But then served in a bowl of syrup, which I think is traditionally flavored with rosewater, although this version was more like honey.

(Boiling dough results either in a dumpling or a bagel, neither of which resembles gulab jamun.)
