I find the name "Planned Parenthood Express" kind of hilarious, too, for reasons I can't quite put my finger on. It's like something you'd find in a social-satire dystopian-SF comedy that was written 35 years ago.

They really could have called it something less breezy, anyway.

The name reminds me of 'Taco Bell Express' (a mini Taco Bell they put inside a department store like 'Target').

Maybe it's the image of drive-thru abortions that gets to me.

I think that they are going for that breezy connotation, since IIRC all they offer is clothes-on birth control consultation.

I realize this of course, but the name alone still sounds to me a joke from some acerbic curmudgeon's thoughts on the inevitable future of the sexual revolution that was currently in progress. It would involve robot arms.
