Pom-pom prefers the single deuce

As a pedestrian, I've lately started flipping off traffic a lot. I even flip off drivers that aren't interacting with me, but being rude to other motorists. I hypothesize that I am more comfortable about this the closer I am to my home neighborhood.

I enjoy it a great deal, though it doesn't make me any less angry, for that brief period after an incident when I am teeth-grindingly ragey.

While I know that my exclamations are highly unlikely to actually be heard by other drivers, I've found that it feels weirdly cathartic to be aggressively cheerful/sarcastic when I yell.

Someone in front of me is riding right up against the line of my lane: "Please stay in your lane! Thank you!"

Someone honks angrily (is there any other way to honk?): "Love you too!"

Someone changes lanes w/o signaling: "Thanks for signaling!"

I don't flip 'em off when they nearly clip me, but I sure yell at them. But I try to make it entertaining in an incredulous way for the people around me.

I flip the bird rarely, but I sure do yell, something from "nice job dork" to "!@!$!$! you @#$1$!" depending on the infraction and my mood. I've gotten in altercations with motorists who yell things lile "cunt" at me from thier car *After* they've broken at least one law and nearly hit me. Love it! :P

Did you know flippin' the bird is evidently illegal in West Virginia? Neither did a friend of mine...somehow he talked his way out of it (the fact that he was off-duty mil and the tropper was ex-mil may have helped).

Shyeah. Freedom of expression.

Some driver had the nerve to honk at me at a cross walk because I was walking too slow. It was like -20 degrees out this morning and she was sitting in a nice warm car, angry at ME. I don't so much flip people off, but if they honk or get pissy (i.e. move until their 2 inches from me), I suddenly slow down to an almost crawl while staring at them. It's fun.

i enjoy yelling at pedestrians when i am in the car. and then i get righteously angry as a pedestrian when cars are assholes. it's the circle of life, simba.
