And they're not giving it back to me.

What happened: the bill payment I set up back with MBNA was depositing $100 into my CC account at the end of every month. By BoA reckoning, this is always late, because payment is due a day or two before that, and payments made between that date and the start of the next month don't count towards the next month's minimums. Therefore, I was late every single month since they started keeping track in October, despite me giving them more money than they were asking for every time.

The nice lady I talked to only smiled and shrugged at me about it.

Fuckers. Never use BoA. I wouldn't be if they hadn't bought the company I fuckin signed up with. Is there any other CC company in the USA at this point?

Wow. The more I hear about BoA, the more I wonder how much longer they're going to survive.

I have a credit card through my credit union; I do not have an account with any bank. Whether BoA has anything to do with Visa, though, I don't know.

Oh yes, I loathed them plenty before they bought MBNA. Then gave me day-one reasons to hate them as a customer by shutting down all their Maine offices as soon as the deal went through, and now they finally hit me with actual taking of actual money from me personally.

I am fairly certain they don't own Visa, at least!

Lobbying is everything

You didn't hear? They recently got a law passed in Congress that makes it illegal to quit them, or to start a competing business, or for them to go under.

...Well, no, but it sure feels like it could happen.
