Dream

What might end up being the theme for my next board game (after Currents, which is itself still incomplete) just came to me in a dream, quite literally. Just the theme, and one or two game-mechanic ideas to get me started. I think that's hella cool, though; I can't tell you the last time I've had a potentially "productive" dream like that.

Amusingly, I kept dreaming about it throughout my hour-long morning ritual of {get up, walk across room, hit "snooze" on alarm clock, go back to bed, sleep until alarm sounds again, repeat until genuinely awake}, and I was hallucinating that I had already developed it to the point where I could playtest it.

I dreamt last night that I had scheduled some vacation time from work, but then I had to take care of a baby lion that hatched from an egg. Since it was white, I called it Kimba and found looking after the lion was a lot of responsibility. I cancelled my vacation time. The lion abruptly turned a lemon yellow color at one point and stayed that way. I look forward to learning more of your games.
