These things are probably not connected:
  • A truck parked on Longwood was pouring smoke from an exhaust pipe into my path, so thick that the cloud was opaque, as tall as I was, and stretching for a good block down the sidewalk. I held my breath while dashing through the worst of it, but it was still flavoring the air when I had to inhale.

  • A small circular scab thing has appeared on my forearm, for no reason I can recall.

  • Now, of course, I feel phantom itchiness all over my body, and my eyes feel swollen, and I'm feeling dizzy and weak, because obviously I have received a lethal dose of flesh-eating smallpox-anthrax.

Blargh. I could probably do that pee sample now.

A few years ago, I woke up and discovered a patch of dried blood on my forehead, right near the hairline. I got in to see a medical person right away, who found nothing alarming, and suggested it was just a result of the dry air (this happened during the winter). Maybe you scratched yourself in your sleep? I periodically find injuries I have no recollection of getting. No *cough* symptoms of anthrax yet, though ;)

Probably. It's also occurred to me that my other "symptoms" are really just a creative interpretation on my reaction to five hours of sleep so I could (fail to) get to my doc appt on time.

Heh. Yeah. I've had the not-enough-sleep shakes, too. Blech.
