iJournal just ate a long entry again. Will compose entries in TextEdit from now on. Foo

Here it was in summary:

• I beat The Fool's Errand today while procrastinating the PR puff piece on Nutshell that I still haven't finished (but at least I've started). I had solved up to the meta-puzzles the last time I played, back when I was writing the book; today, I stormed through to the end. Pretty fun!


• This led me to visit Cliff Johnson's website again, and I learned some interesting things there:
  
  • He is making a sequel called The Fool and his Money, in the same visual style as the original game, a world made of beautiful and often haunting silhouettes. His only nod to the fact that 15 years of computer advances have occurred is his subtle use of minimal color and animation; now the game would probably have had to come on two floppies instead of just one. It's due out for Mac and Windows this fall, and if you pre-order a copy (as I have) he'll add your name to the credits.
  
  
  • He's made (and continues to make) some cute flash-based word puzzles called Jumble Jitters, which you can find linked to from his homepage. I was delighted to find that they star 3, who remains the only media star I have ever fallen hopelessly in love with. (She doesn't get a chance to show much character in these puzzles, though.)

Loved that game. I saw your post yesterday and have since downloaded both 3 in Three and A Fool's Errand, which is new to me. I've missed 3 and her no-nonsense attitude.

Anyway, thought I'd pop in and say thanks and stuff. So, er, thanks, and stuff.
