...Before the Fall

I have agreed to put together a presentation about HTS Manager for the whole ICCB on April 28. This should be fun. I just hope I give myself enough time to do a good job with it. I picked up a copy of Keynote a couple of weeks ago... we'll see what happens.

In tangential news, Chuck wrote me to challenge my qualifications for working on 2E, given 1E's tardiness. I defended myself most verbiously, laying out a detailed analysis of why 1E took so long and how these reasons wouldn't (or shouldn't) apply to 2E, and all but demanded that he let me whitewash that fence, god dammit.

A big truth: There is a book on sale with my name on it, and it is a fine book, oh yes, worth every penny and deserving all four-and-a-half stars (according to Amazon), but it could be better, and I feel a really real need to fix it. This is not something I expected to happen, but there it is, and I think the best course of action might indeed involve sucking it up and once-more-into-the-breaching the accursed thing.

Hmph.
