progI just emailed Chuck my regrets that I'll be unable to work on the second edition of Mac OS X in a Nutshell. He cemented my decision in his most recent email to me, where he clarified that his concerns lay not in my ability as a writer, but rather my ability to stick to the very tight schedule he has in mind for 2E. I think I could have done it were I prepared to sacrifice my productivity at my ICCB job, and once again shut down my personal life for a few months, but I found myself really unwilling to wade back into that, even for a single season.
No sooner had I made this decision than Eray mailed to ask about my feelings about the next Perl & XML. Yeeeeeeees indeedy. I said: let's meet about this. And so, we will, in a couple of weeks. And that's that for that.
