For some reason the LJ client I have on my Mac defaults to giving new friends black background-stripes on your friends page, while adding them via livejournal.com either gives them white stripes or no stripes (I can't tell cuz I've never changed my background colors), so since when I added pheromone thusly, she not only stands out, but I think she also looks like a super-deformed Bene Gesserit from the David Lynch version of "Dune". If it was an anime.
