Farted around with my new laptop's Bluetooth controls during a dull meeting, and discovered that I could directly browse and add items to my phone's ringtone directory. It's just MIDIs! And it suddenly struck me that the most perfect ringtone to my mind is the battle music from the classic Nintendo RPG Dragon Warrior, because there's really a lot of similarity in the intrusiveness of both an incoming phone call and a random monster attack. (Now if only I could hack the answer/don't-answer menu to say "Fight" and "Run".)

I then turned up the ring volume a couple of notches because I want everyone on the bus to know what a badass I am. Clearly.

I have been spoiled by the many very nice Chinese restaurants within delivery radius of my house. I just bought lunch at a low-rent food-court Chinese place near work. I had forgotten for that for the lower tier of America's Chinese restaurants (and the ones I grew up with), "chicken" doesn't mean "pieces of chicken meat" but "a handful of corn dogs slathered in goo". ihh.

TiVo HQ sent out a message to all its DVRs today of a new "TiVoToGo" service that lets you download programs onto your PC. This sounded like a completely wonderful surprise to me, so I rushed to the provided URL, only to learn: Windows only

This from a company that has been so good with its Mac support so far, but not even a "coming soon" message on the Mac side! They just got a letter from me...
