So according to a post in [livejournal.com profile] b0st0n , the USAF flyover (of either four or five jets in formation; accounts differ) that liquefied bowels from raw fear throughout the city was part of a special "recruiting night" at Fenway.

I don't see why there's any need to hold back reminders to the locals of our own military might, especially at Red Sox games. I advocate a flyover of some cruise missles set to strike unpopulated targets in Greenland or Canada or something. Or, oo oo, nuclear airbursts in the exosphere directly over Fenway Park. That would be great. Can we do that? Maybe a whole pattern, make them spell "GO SOX"? Or just "USA" if that's too hard?

Wait, how a bout a night game when there's a new moon overhead... are you thinking what I'm thinking?

So the cool thing I thought I wanted to blog earlier was an organization of self-labeling RINOs, made of moderate conservatives who wore that stupid neocon-invented invective as a badge of pride. In certain frames, you see, I am one of them.

No links, unfortunately, because the relevant sites were, despite their stated intent, still entangled with destructive and hateful monstrosities like Little Green Footballs and Michelle Malkin. I'm sorry, but if you have those sites on your blogroll, you have The Taint and I have no truck with you. I am afraid you will bite me, and then I will have 28 seconds to kill myself.

So instead I will just tell you about Balloon Juice, because it is cool. So far. It is a centrist blog that someone mentioned to me at a party last weekend, after I whinged about the lack of obvious centrist blogs. No Malkin or LGF on its blogroll, and the content seems pretty tasty. (Admittedly, Hugh Hewitt is on the 'roll, which makes me grimace, for he carries the Taint in great abundance. But I'll let it pass for now.)

And I just created [livejournal.com profile] balloon_juice, so, la.
