The PMRP halloween show was delightful. Oh my goodness. I'm actually a little sorry I went to the second of the two shows, otherwise I'd more strongly insist that locals attend.
Talking to me afterwards,
audioboy was trying to avoid the word "improved" in summarizing where the group has come since last year, and I don't know why; it really has improved!
The execution was nearly flawless; there was a minor mic glitch that was fixed during the first intermission, and there was one mistimed sound effect during the last of the three acts, and that was all that I could tell. The soundscapes were great, and having three separate sound-effect crews for the three acts seemed to work out really well.
And the actors were all brilliant. Half I knew from Chicken Heart, and half were new to me, and all did a knock-down job. I expected nothing less from them, which is why I knew I'd love the show, but the whole of everything came together in a way that definitely exceeded my expectations.
(And there was an all-furry stagehand crew?! HALLOWEEN)
Anyway, my regret at not being a part of the show this year was mitigated by my delight at being able to enjoy it without having to spend the previous 6 weeks practicing for it. You all did a superb job and I eagerly await what PMRP plans next.
