Excerpt from my own personal Craigslist post of the day, for a local company's "web czar":
* Flexible work hours (20-40 hours/week)
* $20-25/hour as an independent contractor (1099 with no benefits)
* Must *NOT* have other work commitments or be unavailable during the daytime
"You can work for peanuts only part-time if you want, but you must spend all other hours at home staring resolutely at your phone in case we call you for some reason." OK!
I applaud dice.com for making it easy to toggle whether your résumé can show up in searches or not. This is a job seeker-friendly feature. I have just hid mine; things are sufficiently interesting to make the background din from recruiters (seriously, every day with the calling) more a distraction than not.
I have one, perhaps two bid-creation exercises in my future. Whoah.
Several times a year I lean completely into something, to the detriment (or anyway the languishing) of all else. Volity and Gameshelf will continue to sit simmering in the back until I can wrench some resolution from this pursuit, one which (unlike Volity and the Gameshelf) I feel completely valid in running down, coz a man's got to eat, right?
