MIGS news: There now officially exists a plurality of working game modules (a number-guessing game and rock-paper-scissors). There remain major tasks to accomplish before the proof-of-concept is done, and I'm not willing to really go public with the project until then, but it struck me last night that I can actually try to set up a permanent, Internet-accessible game server with what I have so far, and that's what we call a milestone. Very nice.
(I also want to have an example module or two that isn't quite so trivial as the ones I've made so far. These will probably come from

(Is there a better term for a "standard" deck of 52 playing cards (and 2 jokers) than "poker deck"? Maybe just "playing cards"? Eh. I'd say "deck of cards" like most other people, but that's quite an overloaded term for modern game-hobbyists; I can't imagine how many specialized and unique decks of cards I own, without a three of clubs in the lot.)
I'm thinking it's not too early to make a static webpage or two about MIGS, and start inviting people onto the mailing list. I'll mumble something here when that happens. (Feel free to contact me if you want in now, of course.)
