I went to wbur.org to give them some money during their current pledge drive, because I like NPR but I am not so much about talking to people on the phone when a Web interface is available. Alas, clicking the final 'submit' button presented me with the Eternally Loading White Screen of Mystery, and as much as I like public radio, I'm not about to hit 'Reload' when my credit card number's still among the HTTP POST variables.

I guess I'll find out tomorrow whether or not I actually made a pledge. It's too bad, because this is the first time that I've felt I've been able to comfortably afford a gift to the public media during a pledge drive, and I was hoping for a the special warmfuzzies of a thank-you screen.

Meantime, a rinky-dink link: nowadays I listen to WBUR over my computer. Very nice.
