doctor visit

Finally had a complete check-up at the doctor's today. Everything appears to be A-OK, including the results from those blood tests I took long ago but never myself got the results from, so I'm pretty psyched. For the sake of my parents' burning curiosity, I found out my blood type, and called my mom and told her. (It's B negative.) She got all excited and spent a while speculating out loud how I might have inherited this. She is bizarre and cute sometimes, my mom.
It occurred to me during the doctor visit that I should relate the story of those strange and scary inner-back pains I had many months ago, which had me down for a weekend and then went away, and earned me mockery from the telephone nurse when I thought it was appendicitis. From my description, the doc today seemed fairly certain that the culprit was a teeny-tiny kidney stone, saying how-do-you-do and then finding its own way out. Yikes.
Actually, I sort of suspected this at the time, and undertook a campaign to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate, trying to ounce-for-ounce my coffee and straight-up water consumption. Since then I've had no such complaints at all, so... yeah, pretty good, I guess. (The doc still smirked at my statement of koffee konsumption, but didn't advise me to cut back. Only real advice was: stay good on the hydration, and maybe exercise a little more.)

For example:
O Rh negative: D- C-E-c+e+, M+S-, Le(a-), K-, Fy(a+b-), Jk(a+b-) CMV-
That's a full blood type, much more than the simple ABO type.
*shrug*
