I wonder what algorithms Google News uses to grab story illustrations. Usually it chooses something appropriate, but quite often the image comes from a different source than the corresponding news articles that GN's front page inks to. For a couple of days now the page has had a photograph of GWB going "raaaar", which comes from a story on Al-Jazeera's website, of all places. I think that's pretty cool, actually.
There's also an unfortunate tendency of linking to a farked image of Ted Kennedy wearing a diving mask and snorkel, hosted on rushlimbaugh.com, every time Sen. K makes headlines for any reason.
