"capnwilly" just sent me a bunch of nonsense AIM messages, and then set my AIM "warning level" to 5%. I hadn't heard of this feature before then, but according to a friend, some clients can now flag me as a potential stalker. Whee!
What a strange system. Five percent of what? Total certainty that I'm an evil man? AOL says, shrug, it goes away eventually. Whatever.
Yes, iChat doesn't have a facility for displaying such information either, but the aforementioned friend uses AOL's Windows client. (I was notified of the bewarning by a text notification from the AOL server.)
Or maybe the black mark's gone away by now. AOL's FAQ isn't very clear on this.
Random question: what is your icon? It didn't occur to me until recently that the person depicted therein looks rather like you. (But I'm guessing that it isn't. Unless it's clever Photoshoppery.)
Senora Sabasa Garcia, by Goya. A friend in high school pointed out how much I looked like her, and in high school I used to wear flowered shawls over my head, too.
